Who We Are

Who We Are

People Plan Toronto (PPT) is a group of active, engaged citizens committed to changing Toronto's planning process.  We convene grassroots forums and round tables to discuss planning issues, advocate for better urban planning and promote a strong community voice in the planning process. In 2007, we created the Neighbourhood Planning Summit, bringing together over 140 people from communities across Toronto and creating the "People's Plan for Toronto".  In 2008, we held neighbourhood forums in Scarborough, Etobicoke and North Toronto, culminating in a panel discussion at the St. Lawrence Centre Forum entitled "Putting the Citizen Back into Planning".   Among its other activities, PPT is currently exploring the creation of a Community Planning Resource Centre for Toronto, and holding round tables to foster dialogue around planning issues with residents across the city. We invite all who are interested to join the fight for a better Toronto!
